Early in the morning calm madness of the 2nd of Novemeber, I will officially be running the Nike Soweto Half Marathon. The annual event offers a full (42,2 km), half (21,1 km) and 10 km routes, providing varying options for beginners to advanced runners.
For those who need a small escape from city life, a walk amongst the natural life in a park can sooth and quieten all of those overbearing life stresses. Parks, commons and communally shared spaces are essential for city survival. One of my personal favourites is James and Ethel Gray Park in Birdhaven.
